Frequent I/O errors on XP LUNs leading to Database crash.
we have a cluster pair which frequently reports I/O errors when ever a disk fails on the XP array. To add to that as soon as a disk fails from the same parity group from which the server has been allocated the LUNs the database crashes everytime.
Out of 96 LDEvs allocated to this server only 3 LUNs have the I/O issue.
There are other servers also ashring LUNs from the same parity grp but none reports any error. we have used raid type of (7D+4P)*.
