Ghosting between controller types

Does anyone know if you can ghost NT 4.0 on a 221 and put the image down on an identical server with a 3200 controller in it?

Re: Ghosting between controller types

Both the 221 and 3200 use the cpqarray.sys driver for the controller. You should be safe. The only problem would be going to the 4200/5300--they use the cpqarray2.sys driver....

Yea - should be ok since the same driver's involved.

Re: Ghosting between controller types

I'm coming to this one a little late but... If you're Ghosting from an old 221 to a 3200 the Raid Information Sector on each drive of the array has been created by a Controller that cannot do logical drive expansion to a controller that can. Resulting in an array, though recognized by the new controller can't be expanded when you add physical drives, you could only create more logical drives. Did you do this? Did it work? Could you expand logical units in the array? Or am I confused? I'd be interested in knowing.
