HP CA and vmware blue Screen?

Hi All,

We have a volume on Primary site EVA4400 that is replicated to DR site EVA4400 using HP CA, this volume contains different vm's. For testing purpose at DR site we had preseted same volume to a different esx server.

We run the vm creation wizard and specify one of the vmdk file present in the voulme replicated from primary site. But the issue is that when we power on the vm it gives blue screen error.

Re: HP CA and vmware blue Screen?

I was following wrong procedure actually we have to browse the datastore on which vmx file exist than we have to add it to the inventory this basically imports the VM into different ESX server.

But now we face another issue that is VM is successfully added to the inventory but when we try to power it on...the windows server 2008 loading page appears after that we only see a black screen on VM console...

Please help.

Re: HP CA and vmware blue Screen?

Pretty sure you need to resignature the Datastore, in order to get everything clean. If you have already run the vm creation wizard on the replicated volume, you may have corrupted the dataset.

I'd recommend refreshing the replicated volume, and starting over.
