HP DL360 with Smart Array 6400
Got an HP DL360 with a smart array 6400 controller on it, Firmware is older but cannot find it anymore on HP website to upgrade it only list the 6402 and 6404. This Smart Array is conenct to an MSA30 it has 5 x300 Gig Ultra 320 10K in a rain 5 working fine, Want to use some extra space to build another array, I bought 3x ultra320 15K drives (300GIG) put them into the slots beside the exisitng raid it detects the first drive in Slot 5 which is right then the second drive it says is in slot 8 and it will not detect the 3rd drive at all, I have swapped hard drives between the last two slots and it detects both drives if they are in slot 6 but it will not detect the drive in slot 7. has anyone seen this or know hwo to fix it? i am wondering if this is a firmware issue or if maybe this thing can only handle 7 drives.

Re: HP DL360 with Smart Array 6400
Smartarray 6400 is the family, 6402 and 6404 are the 2 models of this family, firmware is the same for all.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
