To make it easier to find information about HPE Storage products and solutions, we are doing spring cleaning. This includes consolidation of some older boards, and a simpler structure that more accurately reflects how people use HPE Storage.

Re: HP DL380G3 I/O

You need to tell a bit more ... what server model, what OS, etc ...

Hope this helps!

Re: HP DL380G3 I/O

The slots should be labeled on the chassis, the ACU can also help you to identify the disks.

Hope this helps!

Re: HP DL380G3 I/O

If you look at the 'Storage' section of the 'worldwide quickspecs' you'll find that the disk positions are numbered in the picture:

Re: HP DL380G3 I/O

This server can have a "simplex" or "duplex" SCSI configuration.

Simplex means all disks are on the same SCSI bus, for duplex 2 busses are used. Both can be on the same integrated controller or even on an optional controller. So it looks like you are searching for slot 0 on bus 0 and slotz 1 on bus 1. the 2 disks on the right hand side are on bus 0, but you should also see the slots labeled on the chassis.

As said, ACU will help you also to find the disks.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
