Jim,
never seen it but it should work (in direct connect) in arbitrated loop mode. the only thing to check or change is the setting of the link controller card speed in the DS (by default it is set to 2G/s). you would need to change that to 1G/sec. if you take out the LCC the DIP switch and setting is clearly visible.
