HP P2000 G3 MSA add new hdd to raid 5

Hello.
I have HP P2000 G3 MSA.
Can I add another one hdd to the storage (in empty slot) and add it to existing raid 5, without backup data?
I want to extend the volume my existing raid 5.

As long as you are within the limits of disks in a vdisk you can add the disks online and extend the vdisk.

AFAIR you can have 16 disks in a RAID50.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

vDisk expansion can take a very long time, days/weeks...depending on vDisk size, activity, etc. correct?

Also...If a drive fails during the expansion, then the vDisk is corrupted, correct?
