HP P2000 G3 MSA - extend volume

Hello,

I have 6 new HDDs in the storage HP P2000 G3 MSA.

I would like to extend existing volume MMstorage without destroing it/losing data. (Please have a look at screenshot)

Does any one know how to do that ?

Additionally:

I read this manual (see chapter "Vdisk Expansion Recommendations", page 15). That does not give me a clear answer is that possible to do on the fly or not.

P.S. This thread has been moved from Storage>General to Disk Array. -HP Forum Moderator

Yes, you can expand a vdisk while the data is online.  The process to complete this takes a really long time (possibly measured in days).  This is important to know as you cannot cancel a vdisk expansion without deleting that vdisk!

Select a vdisk and click on Tools from the menu bar to do this.

After that you can then expand any existing volumes to make use of the extra space. This is also done while online.
