HP RAID 4Si ON DS2300 FAILIRE

Hi,
Im have a rp2400 with 4si on ds2300 , when booting the system the boot is failure, disconnect the scsi array and the boot is normas.
When the system is up connect the scsi array.
after ioscan -fnC disk the disks in array is claimed but the size is 0.
From itrm -->objects-->disks change status fault to online all disks and reboot the system is normal.
What is the cause for this problem??

Re: HP RAID 4Si ON DS2300 FAILIRE

Hi,

How are these disks configured?

Is there a RAID controller or a normal SCSI adapter accessing these disks?

What happens when you try booting the system by plugging only one disk in DS2300 at a time?

This can be a physical disk / Logical disk failire or even a DS2300 problem.

Re: HP RAID 4Si ON DS2300 FAILIRE

It could be helpful to post a "ioscan -fn", "irdiag -v" and "irdiag -i".

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: HP RAID 4Si ON DS2300 FAILIRE

A short view into your logfile is showing me that most of the firm- and software is very old. I guess the system was not patched since about 4 years. I would update the system using a current patch bundle and current firmware as a good basis for further troubleshooting.

Hope this helps!
