HP Smart Array 5i reports a Drive accelerator error

Hello,

I have the following problem with a couple of Blade G2 Servers

They all report the following error in there integrated log,

POST Error: 1798-Drive Array - Array Accelerator Write Error Occurred.

The controller tab in Insight Manager reports the following.

Status : Perm Disabled
Battery status : OK
Error Code : Write Failure

The machine work fine, except for the fact that when you start ADU it comes up with a accelerator error, i already started the machine with Smart Start 7.10 but the Diagnostics utility only show the same information: Array accelerator permanently disabled.

i cannot find an option to alter these settings
Is this a hardware malfunction and does it need replacement ??

Thanks in advance

Roy,
The SA5i f\w detected a memory ECC error with the array accelerator module some time back. Once this occurs, the cache is marked as bad and both READ caching and write caching gets permanently disabled. You will need to replace the cache module.
