Hi
Is there any guideline availble for designing consideration of oracle database on HP XP arrays ,specially XP10000.
Is there any white paper to present an overview of the benefits that HP XP disk array provides component for a Oracle environment.
Thanks in Advance

Re: HP StorageWorks XP Disk Array design considerations for Oracle
Refer the following white paper at
http://h71028.www7.hp.com/ERC/downloads/4AA0-0640ENW.pdf
I don't see any performanace evaluation of Oracle DB on XP array white papers etc. being published by HP yet like they have had done for EVAs. I wish we would have such evaluation for XP too.

Re: HP StorageWorks XP Disk Array design considerations for Oracle
The attached whitepaper talks about SAP implementations on XP12k and XP10k arrays also using Oracle.
We have dozens of XPs running Oracle manly on HP-UX and Tru64.
One most important thing to achieve highest performance is using a volume manager in order to stripe all data over all available disks.
With the XP you can achieve high performance with highest availability!
Cheers
Peter
