Re: HP autoraid disk array 12 H failure
# /opt/hparray/bin/arraydsp -i => get s/n
# /opt/hparray/bin/arraydsp -a s/n (all caps)
Then I would do a more on logprint
# more logprint -a s/n -s 05250000 (print the log starting at mmddtttt)
This should give you all the pertinent information you need.
please post this information.

Re: HP autoraid disk array 12 H failure
I checked out what you sent and am a little confused.
So you have 12 disks in the array and it's full - yet the array states it's missing a disk -
Disk "SEAGATE ST336704LC" serial number 1YBH00007040
is reported missing by the disk array.
and this disk is obviously not in the array now. Did you replace this disk? Do you still have this disk? The logprint shows "Disk Drive Removed" change records, was this the disk removed.
Why did you reboot the disk array in the first place, was there a disk error?
The fact that you do not Active Hot Spare enabled may make this a real challenge.

Re: HP autoraid disk array 12 H failure
I'm confused myself. I think another administrator changed a disk in the disk array because the disk missing in my array have been found in another array with the same Serial Number. But this administartor is try to tell me that hi didn't change the disk. Please could you help me find exactly when the disk has been moved from the array ?
Thanks for your help

Re: HP autoraid disk array 12 H failure
From the logprint you provided it looks like the array reported missing disks in slots A5 and B4 at 18:36 May 25th.
System change record for Subsystem 0000003F99C6 at Wed May 25 18:36:53 2005
Controller timestamp = 844172
Event code = 146
Event code description = Disk Drive Removed
Event count = 1
FRU ID = 8
FRU description = Disk in slot A5
