HP has obsoleted the Secure Manager software as of 8/29/06

I am looking at buying a used VA7410 array to get me through my storage requirements for the next 8 months. My reseller was told that HP has obsoleted the Secure Manager software as of 8/29/06 and they could not give me a quote???

Has anybody else heard of such nonsense???? How are we supposed to perform lun masking on the VA product line without the software?????

Your reseller gave you the good info.

It is on the list of retired products.

Yes, thanks for your reply. I'm currently talking to my sales rep to see if I'm able to add additional storage to my current VA7400s.

The hardware is available through the "used" market, but I would still nedd the Secure Manager software.
