HSG80 Hardware Versions
Does anyone know if there are any requirements for the hardware version of an HSG80 controller to be the same as its partner in an M2200 chassis? The chassis that I am looking at currently has one controller at E09 and the other at E14. If they do need to be the same is there a process to upgrade the controller?
Thanks in anticipation of your responses.

Re: HSG80 Hardware Versions
Hi Mike,
The maintenance and servic guide here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00309754/c00309754.pdf
states: "The replacement controller hardware must be compatible with the remaining controller hardware. Refer to product specific release notes and documentation for information regarding hardware compatibility."
However I can't find any details about the specifics...
I'm fairly certain that I've run a HSG80 in the past with the controllers at different hardware revisions, without any issues.
As far as I'm aware there isn't any way to upgrade a controller to get to a different hardware version.
It is important however to make sure both controllers are running the same version of ACS.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob
