HSZ80 problem
I have two HSG80 controllers configured for dual redundancy. One of them doesn┬┤t restart (I think that is a failure of array controller). Characteristics of controller that work are:
Controller:
HSZ80 ZG93301356 Software V83Z-0, Hardware E04
NODE_ID = 5000-1FE1-0002-6B60
ALLOCATION_CLASS = 0
SCSI_VERSION = SCSI-2
Configured for dual-redundancy with ZG93300847
In dual-redundant configuration -- other controller restarting
Device Port SCSI address 7
Time: NOT SET
Host PORT_1:
SCSI target(s) (0, 1, 2, 3)
No preferred targets
TRANSFER_RATE_REQUESTED = 20MHZ
Host Functionality Mode = A
Command Console LUN is target 0, lun 5
Host PORT_2:
No SCSI targets
No preferred targets
TRANSFER_RATE_REQUESTED = 20MHZ
Cache:
128 megabyte write cache, version unknown
Cache is GOOD
No unflushed data in cache
CACHE_FLUSH_TIMER = DEFAULT (10 seconds)
Mirrored Cache:
128 megabyte write cache, version unknown
Cache is GOOD
No unflushed data in cache
Battery:
FULLY CHARGED
Expires: 14-OCT-2005
NOCACHE_UPS
Extended information:
Terminal speed 9600 baud, eight bit, no parity, 1 stop bit
Operation control: 00000000 Security state code: 62478
Configuration backup disabled
(yes, firmware version is very older, but...)
My question:
There is some procedure to permit works with only one controller and use two array disk?)
Thanks in advance
Saludos.
Daniel

Re: HSZ80 problem
I executed SET NOFAILOVER in controller that is working, but my problem is obtain a procedure to start the other bad controller. When I execute FRUTIL send me a message indicating that the other controller isn't shutdowned and return to hsg prompt.
Also bad controller send to console a failure message <
last failure code 02ef0102
LPP(0) 0000002e
LPP(1) 00000000
I don't know a command restart bad controller or permit to see disks for first HSG80.
Some suggestion?
Daniel.

Re: HSZ80 problem
The problem is solved.
I had installed other controller, and after reinstall and restart it, appears a message about cache isn't properly instaled to this controller, but propmt of controller is accesible.
Before reinstall configuration on this controller it is needed to clear invalid cache information using:
clear_errors this_controller invalid_cache DESTROY_UNFLUSHED_DATA
It is important to use DESTROY option because the problem with controller (recursive bugcheck) was a bud information in cache.
Thanks Uwe
