you can use the command 'cvui' to manage the array for anyone who finds this thread usefull.

HP Support suggested using vfp when formatting the array. Is this necessary or we can still use cvui to format and recreate LUN 0 and then import all VGs?

I don't know how related your post is to this thread, but with a current firmware you can format single LUNs (from the serial connection and from commandview).
