Help ! out of disk space EVA 8000
I am running out of disk space in one disk group on the EVA8k.
What are my options ?
This was configured by someone else so i am still figuring out what they did .
I see a DG with Near online disks and when you look at it there is a black color N on the disk icon. this is 300gb drive.
I have only one spare disk too.
All suggestions welcome.
Thanks

Re: Help ! out of disk space EVA 8000
By "near online" presumably you mean the FATA drives. Since you can't mix FATA and non-FATA drives in the same disk group your only option is to add some FATA drives to the array then add them to the disk group.
Do you have empty slots available?
As a near term workaround you could look at the "disk failure protection level" of the disk group. If it's currently set to "double" you could set it to single and get 600 GB of raw capacity back. It IS NOT recommended to set the disk failure protection level to "none".
