Host with redundant controllers
Hi all.
I'm looking for a HP solution (competition is Dell with PERC active/passive controllers technology) that could address the need of redundant controller paths with automatic failover.
I've listed the following:
#1 SINGLE Hp Proliant server (DL585 or DL385)
#1 HP MSA500 G2 CTO Chassis (includes 2 642 SA controllers)
#1 ProLiant-MSA500G2-Modular Smart Array 500 G2 4-Port Shared I/O Storage Module with Multipath Software
#1 ProLiant-MSA500G2 redundant controller kit-1 x MSA500G2 RAID Controller Ultra320 con 256MB BBWB Cache
#2 ProLiant-256MB Battery Backed Cache Upgrade Kit for Smart Array 53xx
Some Ultra320 disks
Do you think this configuration could work?
