Hot upgrade on Smart Array 5i RAID Controller
Hello,
I have to do an hot upgrade on Smart Array 5i RAID Controller. I have 3 disks of 36 GB and want to replace them with 3 disks of 146 GB.
I will replace one by one, waiting for the rebuild of each disk.
When the rebuild will be finished, do I have to extend the logical drive or will the controller detect automatically the new size of the logical drives ?

Re: Hot upgrade on Smart Array 5i RAID Controller
Hi
Since you are putting 146Gb at a time, rebuild will take only 36Gb. Thus after the built up you will have to expand logical drives
