How to configuration Secure Path 4.0c
My systems are the following composition.
NetServer lp2000r Windows2000Server MSCS
VA7410 + DS2405
Secure Path 4.0c
A road balancing can not set to enable with Secure Path 4.0c.
I can not understand the reason.
Of course, the following entries are put into the registry.
http://h200006.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/UCR/SupportManual/TPM_t3037-98001/TPM_t3037-98001.pdf
--page 12--
For XP and VA arrays (hpap.sys), double click the following file:
Program Files\Compaq\SecurePath\spdriver\w2k\appr_on.reg
Plese help me!

Re: How to configuration Secure Path 4.0c
can you pls supply the output of the following CLI commands :
- goto Start Programs, SecurePath, spmgr to
get to the command line interface CLI
- type 'autopath devices' and redirect this
into a file
- type 'autopath adapters' and redirect this
into a file
Pls send those files
- appr_on.reg modifies this registry key :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\hpap\Parameters]
"UsePersistentReservations"=dword:00000001
and requires a reboot in order to be active.
Did you verified via the registry editor regedit or regedt32 if this key has the dword set to 1 ?
- did you tried to set the load balancing
policy by the command line ? i.e.
AUTOPATH SET DEVICE=# POLICY=

Re: How to configuration Secure Path 4.0c
this is normal since you have a VA7400 but not a VA7410 like you originally posted.
From the output of the commands i see your array identifier is a A6189A, this is a VA7400 and not a VA7410.
The AutoPath load balancing feature for Windows clusters works only on arrays that support the SCSI persistent Reservation feature, this is in VA7110 and VA7410 only, not in VA7100 and VA7400.

Re: How to configuration Secure Path 4.0c
the first output result you provided is from a A6188A, which is a VA7100, not a VA7410.

Re: How to configuration Secure Path 4.0c
I was performing by mistaken server.
I appreciate your advice.
I performed Load Balance by va7410 today.
A setup of load balance became enable at the command line.
However, a setup of load balance cannot be performed in GUI.
Is this normal operation?
Yuichiro.
