Re: How to configure MSA 70

What OS is running?

Do you have the P800 smartarray installed?

Hope this helps!

Re: How to configure MSA 70

"ioscan -fn" please. -fn !

BTW, you have a smartarray P400 for internal and a P800 for external disks.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: How to configure MSA 70

OK, this is your P800 with 3 logical volumes:

ext_bus 1 0/5/0/0/0/0 ciss CLAIMED INTERFACE PCIe SAS SmartArray P800 RAID Controller
/dev/ciss1
target 1 0/5/0/0/0/0.0 tgt CLAIMED DEVICE
disk 3 0/5/0/0/0/0.0.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP LOGICAL VOLUME
/dev/dsk/c1t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0
disk 5 0/5/0/0/0/0.0.1 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP LOGICAL VOLUME
/dev/dsk/c1t0d1 /dev/rdsk/c1t0d1
disk 6 0/5/0/0/0/0.0.2 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP LOGICAL VOLUME
/dev/dsk/c1t0d2 /dev/rdsk/c1t0d2

The P800 is /dev/ciss1, the P400 is /dev/ciss0 (this is important now).

To manage online, you'll use "saconfig" and "sautil", e.g.

# saconfig /dev/ciss1

Here is the manual:

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
