How to hot add new msa20 to existing msa1500

I am adding a new msa20 to my already existing msa1500 with an existing msa30.I have a new io card. I just want to know the reccomended procedure for hot adding the new io card and msa20 rack.The existing msa1500 is running a msa30 which is part of a vmware 3.5 environment.

Hi Gordon,

Plug in the card first. Install the MSA20 in the rack and connect to the IO card then apply power to the MSA20. Controller display will recognise the addition of a storage box.
Add disks into MSA20 - each will be recognised by the MSA1500 controllers. Then configure through ACU or CLI as normal.
