How to installed fresh VA7100

Hi All,
Can anybody tell me, fresh installation procedure of VA7100 and how to configure RAID on that.My server is hp 9000 l-class rp5430 and i m using hp-ux 11.11.

Hi,

it depends if you are going to connect directly or by using a switch. But first of all you need to connect a terminal directly to the array (serial), format it and create a LUN 0. Then you need to install Commandview SDM Version 1.09 on your server. Look in "Download driver and software" on hp website and search for VA 7100. There is no difference between the models. There are also some manuals about the installation. Since you have connected the array and installed the software, you can use commandview ("cvui" is an easy way) to configure. Good luck!
