HowTo replace ALL VA7410 36Gb Disk with new 72GB Disk?

Hello,
does this procedure work?
Replace Disk1 - wait for rebuild ended
Replace Disk2 - wait for rebuild ended
the same for eveery Disk. (Maybe another sequence?)

How to see if the rebuild is succesfully ended?
What is happend if the Speed for the Disks is different (10k/15k)? Is this a problem?

After replaced all disk we can create new LUN from the new capactiy?
Does this work? Maybe it is supported by HP. Any other ideas to replace all VA Disks?

Thanks for responce

I **think** that should work. And once all the drives have been replaced, you should be able to use the additional space.

Other ideas -- Backup all of your data, pull out all the old disks, put in all the new disks, recreate your LUNs, recreate your VGs and LVs and restore the data.

I would also recommend this:
backup (preferrably 2 different backups),
shutdown,
replace all disks at once,
re-build LUNS and LVs,
finally restore everything;
for maximum performance benefit, both from faster disks and from de-fragmenting data blocks.
