IDE array information can not be saved

IDe array in ML330G02 with one hdd on each cable. hdd configured jumper at cable select setting.
Two IDE arrays with one of each hdd configured as RAID 0 and the first one bootable. Each array have been initialized. Extra partion has been created by SmartStart.
Installtion of Windows Server 2003 on the first hdd in the first array worked fine. HDDs have been converted into dynamic disks. But after reboot the array information has been lost. Every time the server reboots, the array has to be configured new.
How to solve?
Regards,
Thomas

Re: IDE array information can not be saved

This sounds like a CMOS battery problem in that you are loosing your configuration each time that the server is reset. Is this an older machine? If so, when did you last replace the CMOS battery?

Re: IDE array information can not be saved

Dynamic disks are not supported. They override the RAID informations on the disk. After new configuration of the RAID and installation of the OS without converting the disks into dynamic disks, the RAID controller configuraton stays also after reboot and power on/off.
