Install of NT 4.0 doesn't find disks

Hi all,

I have a corrupted installation of NT so wish to install NT in a different directory to recover some files and correct the corrupted install. When I start the NT 4.0 installation and insert my drivers disk for the 53xx array the installation fails and tells me it doesn't find any suitable drives to install NT. The files on the floppy come from the smart controller cd and are cpqcissm.inf, cpqcissm.sys, cpqcissm.dll and txtsetup.oem.

Can anyone suggest how to get the install to recognise my preconfigured disks.

Thanks

Megan

Re: Install of NT 4.0 doesn't find disks

When booting from the NT CD and the screen displays "Setup is inspecting your hardware...", press F6. If you wait to load the drivers for the 5300 until Setup asks later in the process for additional drivers, NT's default controller drivers have already loaded. Give this a try.
