Installing 12H Disk Array

I have a HP9000 K460 and I'm trying to install a 12H. When I connect it to the core I/O it works fine but I'm trying to connect it to a FW Diff SCSI adapter board(28696-60001). In STM the system will show the adapter board but not the 12H connected to it. Could this be a firmware issue?

Hello

as far as i remember disks on 12H are single ended no?
disk size is wrote in yellow in front of the disk no?
if this is the case you can't connect to a FW diff scsi card

When I put it on the core I/O it works fine and that port is FW Diff so I know that the card I have it connected to should work.

Re: Installing 12H Disk Array

Hi,

the 12H has 6 SE SCSI buses *internally*. The controllers are FWD. So you should see the 12H on any FWD card.

Did you use that same 12H controller and the same SCSI cable, just attached it to the other HBA?

If not first suspect is cable, termination, bent connector pins etc. Do you get errors in dmesg?

Shutdown the 12H, then reconnect, then start 12H. then run ioscan

Bernhard
