Integrating Tripp Lite UPS with EVA6400...
Hi There,
I need to integrate PowerAlert Software with EVA6400 system to turn on/off the EVA system automatically before UPS charge goes down in electrical failure.
Any suggestion...? thanks.

Re: Integrating Tripp Lite UPS with EVA6400...
Hi,
Generally it is recommanded to Stop the complete IO from hosts before shutting down the EVA.
I am not sure about integration but you can make use of SSSU commands if that particular software allows you to run batch script.

That's right Sivaramakrishna... i├В┬┤m running xenservers host connected to the EVA system.
Power Alert can shutdown Windows and Linux VM automatically.
About SSSU how to get it...?
Thanks for your response.

Re: Integrating Tripp Lite UPS with EVA6400...
The SSSU will be a part of the Command View EVA system. You can find the SSSU.exe in the Hewlett packard directoy.
SELECT MANAGER USERNAME= PASSWORD=
SELECT CELL ""
after selecting this you can try to use SHUTDOWN COMMAND. There may be a additional options same can be get from help on the same window.
By making this script you can pass this script to SSSU file as below
SSSU "FILE
if everything is fine you can integrate the same to your applicaiton if it allows. make sure that you copy the SSSU.exe(approx 1-2MB) along with the script.
