Is the maximum Vdisk size still 2TB?
What is the latest XCS and Command View versions for the EVA8100?
With the latest versions of XCS and CV, is the maximum Vdisk size still 2TB?
Thanks.

Re: Is the maximum Vdisk size still 2TB?
Latest now is
HP EVA XCS v6.200
http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=T4256-63113A
You can download the software and the docs from there-
The docs are in ISO format-
The PDF about the release notes re-directs you again to http://www.hp.com/support/manuals
Very generic!
I'm still searching for the release notes there ...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Is the maximum Vdisk size still 2TB?
XCS 6.200 release notes here:
http://bizsupport.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01492170/c01492170.pdf
Maximum vdisk size is still 2 TB, mainly for compatibility with most operating systems.
What has been increased is the total addresable space, so you can have up to 300 TB of vdisks and snapshots.

Re: Is the maximum Vdisk size still 2TB?
Hi,
there are 2 important notes in the RN regarding the upgrade/downgrade:
1. online upgrade:
EVA configured with large amounts of virtual disk capacity may exceed the 60 seconds of timeout -> the default disk io timeout for the most OSes
2. offline downgrade:
due to the metadata changes in XCS 6.200 the downgrade is the offline operation with the storage reinitialization and tape restore

the pain is one part of the reality
