J6000 connected to SC-10

I recently aquired 2-HP J6000s and 1-HP SC-10 without any cables. The J6000s have the standard low-voltage differential (LVD) SCSI buses, no additional scsi cards. Will I be able to configure the J6000s with the SC-10 as a 2 node cluster? Is there any additional cables, nics, scsi cards I will need.

P.S. As you can tell, I'm a newbie.

Re: J6000 connected to SC-10

Elizabeth,

The SureStore E Disk System SC10 product (A5272A) is a 10-slot Ultra2 LVD SCSI JBOD Disk Enclosure that features redundant Bus Control Cards (BCC), power supplies and fan modules.

Each BCC has 2 LVD SCSI VHDCI (Very High-Density Cabled Interconnect)connectors that allow for multiple host connection to the enclosure, or for daisy-chaining additional enclosures on the bus.

The SC10 supports Ultra-2 SCSI (LVD) VHDCI connections to the host(s). The enclosure midplane is single-ended. The disk modules are LVD/SE.

All connections to the host are SCSI LVD cables, maximum length 12 meters. Inline-terminating cables for high availability configurations are supported.

I hope this helps.

Good Luck - Tim

Re: J6000 connected to SC-10

Hi Elizabeth,
Here is the cable you need,

There are diferent cables depend long size.

All are 68 pin very hight density male to 68 pin very high density male.

The reference part numbers are.
5064-2500---2meter(6,6ft)
5065-021----5meter (16ft)
5065-022----10meter(33ft)

Also you need the terminator
5021-1121---68 pin very high density.

Warning.

2 host can access to SC10 across two HBA but careful to access same PV(disk), could make trouble in the scsi i/o bus.
