LUN not visible created on VA7100

Hi,
I had created LUN on VA7100, But it is not visible on HP UX server connected directly to VA7100 through FC cable. And secure manager is disabled on VA7100. Is there any limitation of creating LUN on VA7100 as i am able to see only 8 LUN's which i had created and after 9 onwards the LUN's are not visible on HP server.
Please let me know what is the problem?

There is an 8 LUN limit on many disk arrays. You may be able to solve this problem by getting updated drivers for the HP-UX server.

Hi,

Once creating LUN on VA7100 & assinged to the destinated host.

Under the LUN assigned Host you need follow below commands.

step 1:- # insf -e
step 2:- # ioscan -fnC disk
step 3:- # cd /dev/rdsk/
step 4:- # ls -lrt --> will show you lastest created device files
step 5 :- # strings /etc/lvmtab --> check wether the disk d'not exist under the /etc/lvmtab

Than now you ready to pvcreate "lun"

Did you set the host port behavior on the array to hp-ux?

Please can you tell me where can i download the driver and which drivers i need to download so that LUN's created more than 8 will be visible to HP-UX system.
