Lock disk on va7410

Hi. Is it right to put ServiceGuard lock disk on LUN 0 on VA7410?
Are there any problems in such case?

Re: Lock disk on va7410

Hi,

you can do this. It is officially supported. If you have a SAN where other hosts besides your cluster nodes can see this LUN 0, I would recommend using a LUN from any MC/SG cluster VG though. (just to be on the safe side)

Re: Lock disk on va7410

The lock disk can be any disk in any shared VG. Don't think it has to be a "seperate" disk. It can be part of your Oracle database. The lock business doesn't interfere with the space or perfomance of the shared disk. Don't waste an entire PV on the MC/SG lock disk.
