Logical drives created newly are not showing up in disk management

Hi All,

SAN connected to physical DL 580 G2 server
Logged into server
Launched ACU
Created new Array using spare disks
Created logical drive in RAID 5

Went to disk management
clicked rescan disks
Generally new volumes are shown here for initialization and format specifying drive letter
but for some reason disk management is not showing newly created logical drives

Have rebooted the server as well but no luck

Any help please?

Thanks
Imran.

Re: Logical drives created newly are not showing up in disk management

Exactly where are the array drives in question; in the DL580 G2 server or on the SAN? What SAN model are you working with?

Run ADU and post the results here.

Disks are used from SAN

MSA 1000 connected with fibre

Attached is the ADU report for reference please

Thanks,
Imran.

Re: Logical drives created newly are not showing up in disk management

Hi,

Please check whether the "Selective Storage Presentation" is enabled in your Arrya.

If so then you need to enable the Access for those newly created LUNs to the required Host.

thanks again everyone for your time n help :)

Selective Storage Presentation was the prime reason
