MA8000 Drive Failure LED

We've got a MA8000 with enclosures. In one enclosure there are 14 disks. A month ago 5 adjacent HDD's had a lit Drive Failure LED. But everything worked fine. No error messages on controller. Then the LEDS went down. Two days ago the LEDs switched on again. But now on six adjacent disks (one more). Why? Has anyone any clue? Is it about disks or enclosure?

Re: MA8000 Drive Failure LED

Where the lights on solid? If they where flashing, was it a fast flash? Or a slow flash? IF it's a slow flash, I bet someone has done a LOCATE command on the drives.

the CLI command LOCATE allows you to turn on the error light so that you can help identify a single, or multiple drives in your storage cabinet.

EX LOCATE DISK10400 -- this will turn on the error light on the disk that is in channel 1 SCSI ID 04

The next time that you see this, connect to your CLI port and issue a LOCATE CANCEL and see if they go away.

The lights (Drive Failure LED) are solid.

Re: MA8000 Drive Failure LED

Changed EMU and one of disks, no improvement. Without EMU the Drive Failure LED goes off and everythinhg looks fine. Has anybody seen this kind of problem?
