MSA 1510i Networking Question
I have a few questions about networking on the MSA 1510i.
First, I read in the manual that each data port (SA0 and SA1) can have 2 IP addresses but there is no explanation about why or if that is the max. How many IP's can you have on each data port and what is recommended?
Second, we're looking to see how many GBICS we need to purchase so I'm looking to clarify this configuration. We're going to have redundant controllers. Does this correct?
MSA # 1
SA0 x2 1000 MB/s 4 GBICS
SA1 x2 1000 MB/s
MA0 100 MB/s
MSA #2
SA0 x2 1000 MB/s 4 GBICS
SA1 x2 1000 MB/s
MA0 100 MB/s
Third, I was wondering what the failover capabilities are for the MSA 1510i. Does it use MPIO or HP Teaming? A little clarification or a point in the right direction to where I could find the information would be greatly appreciated.
