MSA 20 and non-hp scsi contorller

Is it possible to attach MSA 20 to SCSI controller other than HP`s server controller. i.e put scsi card in other manufacturer`s server. ?
(sorry for my poor english).

Re: MSA 20 and non-hp scsi contorller

I think this is impossible, because this MSA must be connected to a HP smartarray controller.

Hope this helps!

Re: MSA 20 and non-hp scsi contorller

Thank you for the quick reply. The quickspecs said that starter kit consists of MSA 20 and HP Smart array controller - Hewlett Packard Smart Array 6402/128 (a9890a) SCSI Controller. Than, is it possible to install this controller to non HP server ?

Re: MSA 20 and non-hp scsi contorller

Unfortunately :-) the quickspecs explicitly names that the msa 20 is compatible with the list of the Proliant servers, therefore it is officialy supported only on the Proliants...
