MSA 2000 RAID Controller Failure

Hello,

We had the following structure:

One Hp Server

One MSA 2000 connected to that server (one RAID controller)

One MSA 2000 connected to the first MSA 2000 (one RAID controller)

The RAID Controller on the first MSA 2000 failed.

My question is: If we replace the RAID Controller on the first MSA 2000, we loose all data on the hard drives (The volumes configurations are preserved somwhere else?)

Thank you,

Silviu

Do you have 1 MSA with an extension box???

Please clarify!

However, configuration data is stored on disks, in case of emergency (fail) in single controller units the cache contents will be written to the flash card (please trnsfer to the new controller if you replace the part).

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
