MSA 2012 FC - need help with configuration/performance

Hi all,
I have MSA 2012fc array, with 24 hdds, SATA 750GB. Array is connected 4x 4GB FC.
I'm trying to prepare storage for backup system, so it should be as big as possible and fast with sequential writes. I have latest firmware for array and drives.
What I did:
created 2 RAIDS 10, each with 12 hdds. I don't know what would be optimal for selecting hdds, so I chose 12 drives from the left for first raid and rest for the second. After that I created 3 volumes from each RAID. All that stuff is connected to HP-UX 11.23 box. I created PV groups, size about 1.4TB, with devices from corresponding volumes on both RAIDs. Next I created striped LV, 2 stripes, stripe size 128k. Finally I created VXFS on whole LV.
Now - results I'm getting are rather dissapointing. Using hpcreatedata and hpreaddata utils I tested performance on about 40GB of data, large files, to avoid cache influences.
It says about 58MB/sec on write, and about 39MB/sec on read.
What would you recommend to boost those values?
I know MSA is not exactly Bentley in arrays, but well - single hd in my laptop is getting about the same performance.
Any input appreciated.
