MSA 30 Dual BUS Question

Hi,

Is it possible to connect a MSA30 Dual Bus enclsure to two different servers and configure 7 disks to each servers? Server A should not be able to see the disks attached to server B.

We are planning to have 2x rp3410 servers with RAID adapters connected to a MSA30 DB in the above mentioned way if its a workable solution.

Where can I find MSA30 DB user guide ??

Thanks in advance,

Naveen

Re: MSA 30 Dual BUS Question

Naveen,
You can certainly connect the MSA30 in this fashion. It will function as if it were two arrays. The only difference is that the arrays rely on the same power supplies, midplane, etc.
Here is the link to the MSA30 pages on the HP website:

Re: MSA 30 Dual BUS Question

will the hpux boxes be running serviceguard? thats not supported with the msa30db, or RAID cards (you must use the msa30mi and standard scsi hba)
