MSA 500 under cluster configuration
We have two DL360s in a cluster, both connected to a Storageworks Modular Smartarray 500. We've now put an extra drive in the array. How can we expand a drive, used by the cluster, to cover this new drive? All Raid 5, btw. Read the docs on this but it just says not to use the usual way if using a cluster. Please help!

Re: MSA 500 under cluster configuration
Do you simply want to expand the partition on an existing drive?
If so, insert the new drive into the MSA. Open ACU and "EXPAND" the array to include the new drive. Once complete, "EXTEND" the logical drive you want to be bigger.
AFTER the EXTEND is complete, you need to shut down one node. Then take the resource group offline so that all data is written out to disk. Once complete, bring the DISK resource ONLY online. Run Diskpart.exe to extend the partition.
Here is the link for the instructions...
Basic diskpart info...
Cluster diskpart info...
If you just want to create a new logical drive and add it to the cluster, then the process is simple. Just ask.
