MSA P2000 G3 VSS with Hyper-V
Hi
I have a setup consisting of two DL380 G7s with a shared P2000G3 SAS. The platform runs a hyper-v failover cluster perfectly, however backups are a problem due to the Microsoft VSS taking the cluster shared volume in to redirected mode. So the answer is to use the P2000 hardware VSS, however I get inconsistent results with it normally failing completely. The guide for installing the VSS mentions MSDTC for a cluster environment. Does anyone have experience of a similar setup. We are using BackupExec 2010 for the hyper-v cluster backups.
