MSA1000 temperature overheat
"External Storage System Overheating (Chassis SGM051627V, Slot 1, Zone Unknown, Location Storage, Temperature Unknown)"
I couldn't find any problems with fans.
This has stopped appearing now but was wondering why it appeared in the first place.

Re: MSA1000 temperature overheat
There has not been much change around the room. As in there are not really any microclimates as we have underfloor air con blowing cool air upwards through the racks and units blowing cool air downwards too.

Re: MSA1000 temperature overheat
Next time this happens can you pull the power supply of the MSA1000 and look for rev number, i.e. A1, B1.

Re: MSA1000 temperature overheat
The Advisory is forthcoming. When the problem occurs, use cli and issue >show globals. If the temp reads over 200c then the problem lies with the power supplies FW.

Re: MSA1000 temperature overheat
Thanks very much I'll monitor it. It hasn't happened for 6 days.
Is this the HP Array Configuration Utility CLI that is installed on the Server OS? I tried this command "show globals" but it said invalid command.

Re: MSA1000 temperature overheat
You will not see this issue unless the temp falls below 25c.
