MSA1000
I have two rx1610 servers which run hpux 11.23 and direct attach to MSA1000 2/3 Hub module.
There is only one HBA(A6795A)in each rx1610 host.
When I run ioscan ,it can not find the MSA1000,and show below error messages.
vmunix: 0/2/1/0: WARNING: It appears that there are (or were) more than one device with
vmunix: the same address (nport ID) setting of 0x0. One of them will be ignored.
I have upgrade the firmware in MSA1000,but still have the problem.
What next step do I have to do or something configuration did I need to change.
Tks!

Re: MSA1000
Did you set hard addressing in the MSA controller?
In the HP-UX - MSA1000 manual it says:
FC/AL configurations must enable hard addressing on the MSA1000 controller.
See Array Controller Configuration Settings in the Command Line Interface user guide for instructions.
You find the whole manual here:

Re: MSA1000
Did you also check the remainder of the procedures in the installation guide?

Re: MSA1000
I have follow the installation procedure, but still have the same problem.
Do I have to add another patches after I haved installed the HP_UX 11.23 OS(Mission Critical default install) for the HBA or MSA1000 Storage?
Tks!

Re: MSA1000
We have solved the problem
In MSA1000 CLI
set the connection profile to hp not default.
It work ok.
Tks!
