MSA1500 CS + 4GB

We currently are running a MSA1500CS with 2gb SFP's. I have found the specs for the MSA1500cs but I don't quite understand if they are capable of running at 4gb's or they can use 4gb's SFP's at 2gb speed. Can anyone clarify this for me? Thanks.

The MSA1500 cs provides 2 Gb Fibre Channel to the hosts.

2 Gb/1 Gb Fibre connection to host - Supports both 1Gb, 2Gb and 4Gb Fibre Channel fabrics to ensure your investment in 1 Gb infrastructure is protected. Also works with the new 4Gb switches and HBAs at 2Gb speed.

Re: MSA1500 CS + 4GB

That is what I found, and I am asuuming that means we can use a 4GB SAN switch and 4GB HBA's for the servers but the MSA will always be 2GB?
Thanks for the quick response.

Yes, the HP disk enclosures of that moment were 2 Gb. The same happened to the EVAs, EVAs 3000 and 5000, and the first 4000/6000/8000 had the ports at 2 Gb.
Now they work at 4 Gb.
