MSA1500cs + MSA20(SATA) - bad performance...
Configuration - MSA1500cs (firmware 5.20),two controllers,256MB cache on each controller,Active/Passive, four MSA20(firmware 2.02) with 12x500GB SATA 7.2k in each, FC switches, one host RHEL4 with 2xEmulex LP1150.
I created 8 LUNs RAID5(stripe 16K) with 5 HDD. For test I copied 10GB file(try bs=16k and bs=1024k) from host to LUN and from LUN to host and get only 20MB/s speed for write I/O and 30MB/s for read I/O :(. I think that something is wrong with my MSA1500cs. Can anyone help with diagnostic? It will be really appreciated.
I attach output from "show perf", "show taskstats", "show cacheinfo", "iostat -d 1" for read I/O and write I/O.
I don't understand output from "iostat -d 1" for write I/O. It is very strange. It is unstable. Can anyone explain it to me? Thanks.
