MSA2012fc Loses Remote Manageability
Our MSA2012fc in Tokyo keeps dropping the SMU ethernet connection on both management controllers. I am unable to ping either interface from the US (where I am located) or from a local Tokyo server. To recover, the local admin connects a computer to the MSA serial port and I run the CLI command "restart mc both" which normally recovers the SMU connectivity.
I have had this issue several times in the past couple of years. HP Support recommended that I update the firmware. I updated it to J201R09 last January but it still loses connectivity intermittently. Any suggestions other than updating firmware?
