MSA2012sa and multipath on Server 2008 x64?

Total MSA2000 newbie, please go gentle. :)

I have an MSA2012sa dual controller with 3 drive enclosures on a new Microsoft DPM server running under Windows Server 2008 x64. I've cabled it according to fault tolerence diagram here...

Figure 5:

I installed the MPIO component for Server 2008 and ran the mpclaim -r -I -d "HP MSA2" command.

The drives all show up with the multipath tab now, but only one path is showing per drive.

One end of each SAS cable to the server (DL380 G6) is plugged into one of the two different LSI 3000 SAS HBAs with the other end going into SAS Port 0 on each controller card.

The firmware on the controllers are both up to date. I've run the v8.25 HP support pack and everything is updated. I've also installed the DSM manager and it also shows the single path. They all came up as Round Robin with Subset by default. Some say Active/Unoptimized and some say Active/Optimized.

Any hints would be appreciated. I feel like I must be missing a checkbox somewhere or something else simple.

Thank you in advance.

FYI.. that mplcaim command didn't get formatted correctly above. There were 6 spaces between HP and MSA2.

Digging deeper.

In the SAS config during POST I found what appear to be the WWNs of the controllers.

Slot 01: 500605B0:00BCCF00
Slot 04: 500605B0:00BF7970

Going into the MSA Volume Mapping I see 4 hosts listed, but the last 2 don't match my HBAs so what are they?

1. 500605B000BCCF00
2. 500605B000BF7970
3. 5001438004CABC60
4. 500605B000BF7974

#4 seems to have rw access on every single volume. It's # is so darn close to what I saw in the SAS config that it makes me want to assume it's one of the cards. I didn't configure the volumes on the MSA, another guy did previously and now I'm the one who has to add the 2nd controller cards and configure the multipathing. Yay me.

So do I have to add the WWN of both SAS HBAs and give rw access on the A0/B0 ports in order for the second path to show up? If so, what do I have to do in Server 2008 to detect the new pat if anything?

Sorry for the barrage of posts all in a row, I just keep adding as I find more detail.

Ah-ha, a reboot found them. That wasn't so bad. Hope this thread is helpful to someone else some day. :)
