MSA30 connecting with DL360G5

i just want to know does serve build in raid controller shows disk of external storage for raid settings or we have to add external additinal raid card for external disk raid configuration

The DL360 G5 has an internal SAS controller (E200 or P400). To connect an MSA30 you need to add an SCSI PCI controller, like the Smart Array 6400.

Hi,

The MSA30 is just a disk shelf. It doesn't provide any RAID functionality...

It would need to be connected to something like a SmartArray 6400.
