MSA500 G2

Hi myDEAR

I have msa 500 g2
i installed 8 HDD 146 gb
all led of HDDS IS green ok
i have errors (RED LED) in LCD ( 88 NO MP INIT) IN BOX#1 BAY 5 , BAY 6 AND 7
I Cant not clear this errors
please any help me how to remove this error
how i can upgrade f/w (1.4) to higher
what is the download link

I am waiting for your help

Hello,

check the drives in the bays 5, 6 and 7. Maybe the drives are failed. Unplug the drives, power cyle the MSA and add drive after drive. Give the MSA time to recorgnize the newly added drive. If the MSA fails again, ask HP to change the drives.

Hi Mr

if i installed this HDDS in proliant servers
no any errors in ARRAY
HDDS NO ERRORS LED (no red led)
is possable to upgrade Firmware

Hello,

this is possible due the ProLiant Firmware Update CD. Please re-add the disks to the MSA. Is the MSA running again in the failure?
