MSA60 and HP DL360G7

Hi,

I have question, our customer has HP MSA60 SAS disk array and would like to connect it to the HP DL360 G7 server .. what is needed for that ? only buy HBA card for example HP SCO8e 6Gb 2-ports Ext PCIe SAS HBA or they need buy controller HP Smart Array P812/1G Flash Backed Cache Controller ..

what's recomended and working solution ..

Hi!
it depends, what your customer wants to "see": JBOD or ready-to-use LUNs. HBA card just shows you separate disks inside MSA and P812 will show you LUNs. In first case you can (well... should... :) ) use a software raid, LVM or something like.

o.k., thanks for info and what you think about controller HP P411/256 MB cache ?? it would be good solution for connection MSA60 to HP DL370 G7 ?

Yep, P411 is enough for this purpose, but i strongly recommend you to buy it bundled with BBWC.
